What does a typical day look like for you?
We, as a team, work with our partners to have the greatest impact bringing sight. Lots of time on the whiteboard.
How did you first learn about CBI?
I first learned about CBI in the stands at a rec-league softball game while watching my husband.
What drew you to CBI originally? And how has CBI changed since?
The ability and accessibility to drastically change someone’s life of blindness to sight for such a little amount. Since I started in 2008, we have gone from changing individual lives to changing communities by building the capacity within our partners through training ophthalmic personnel, building eye centers, creating pediatric screening system – all items that leave a lasting impact when we are no longer around.

Tell us a little about yourself and your family.
My husband, Garrick, and I have two boys, Keane (7 years) and August (3 years). The boys were born while I was at CBI and have grown up working alongside me, from licking envelopes to explaining cataract surgeries.

I love to accessorize.
What do you like to do when you’re not working?
When I’m not working, you can find me reading or outside hiking and exploring.
