Highlights and News

Celebrating 25 years This November, the Combat Blindness Foundation will celebrate 25 years of dedication to providing sight and eye health education to developing nations. Since its founding in 1984, CBF has supported over 650,000 eye screenings, 130,000 free cataract surgeries and the gift of sight to 30,000 children. It also provided vitamin A education to children and families in India’s poorest regions, partnered with some of India’s eye institutions of excellence and helped to build Aurolab, an intraocular lens facility at Aravind Eye Hospital in Madurai, India. After reflecting on the past 25 years, Dr. Suresh Chandra, the founder of The Combat Foundation remarks, “As I look back, I am humbled by the number of people we have served and strides we have made as an organization.”

Today, the foundation continues to strive to bring sight and eye health to those in need. It has expanded its support to areas not only in India, but in Africa and South America as well. Dr. Chandra is thankful to all the volunteers and donors that have made the efforts of CBF possible. Join CBF in celebrating their 25 years of service and dedication to eradicating blindness this November.

Celebrate the solution in sight.
