Beginning in 1997, CBF began sponsoring cataract surgeries at L.V. Prasad Eye Institute, a leading private eye institution in India. The institution provides free cataract surgery at the base hospital and rural eye centers. Additionally, the hospital has performed 7,527 CBF-supported, free cataract surgeries.
